 LEARNING:

Library/Resources Centre

The School Library and Resources Centre is open throughout the day allowing students to borrow and return books as they require.  Over the lunch period, each day gives priority to different year groups to prepare project work or simply to read in a tranquil location.  It is also home to a supervised Homework Club which operates Monday-Thursday inclusive from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

It contains over 15,000 books and a suite of 10 computer workstations.  There is a team of Pupil Librarians who receive training and can assist pupils with enquiries.  It also houses the Connexions Resource Centre and Careers Information section, which includes a dedicated computer terminal.

One of the main purposes of the Library is to encourage students to enjoy reading as a leisure activity.  It contains an impressive collection of recent fiction suitable for the whole school population.
