Fairtrade fortnight

To mark this occassion the school had a stall selling Fair-Trade chocolate and healthy snacks at break-times.  The stall was organised by pupils in 7SC and was completely sold out by the end of the first week.

All pupils had a presentation in assembly about fairtrade and how they could make a difference and in their citizenships lesson Year 9 pupils saw a film about trying to source a fairly-traded school shirt.

 

An encouraging number of pupils entered the whole school competition in which they had to collect as many fairtrade labels as they could.  A Year 10 pupil was the winner with over 200 labels, prizes, fair trade of course will be awarded in school assembly.
